New York all business class from £965
La Compagnie is an all business class airline that operates from Paris Orly and Nice to New York. They regularly have good offers on like the current one for a return to New York for €1110 from Nice and €1200 from Paris. From 6 June 2019, La Compagnie will become the first French airline to operate the Airbus A321neo. The new aircraft will considerably improve the passenger experience with La Compagnie compared with the rather dated current seats.
The new A321neo cabin is equipped with 76 new business class seats which are the BE Aerospace Diamond (which feature on AA and Qatar) in a 2-2 configuration. The seats recline to fully flat and a comfy mattress topper will be provided.
The current entertainment is not great with tablets but this will be much improved with a new generation Rave system by Zodiac Inflight Innovations displayed on a new 15’7 touch screen. Noice cancelling headsets will also be offered. All passengers will be able to connect to the Unlimited High-Speed Wi-Fi supplied by Viasat.
Although the BE Diamond seats are not my favourite as I find them a little narrow, this sounds like a vast improvement on the current product. The new entertainment system and Wi-Fi will also make a big difference. If the pricing stays the same with special offers I will certainly be giving the service a try for something a bit different.

New Virgin route
Virgin Atlantic is relaunching flights between London Heathrow and Mumbai, India, with flights on sale from Tuesday, 28th May. The first service will be on 27th October 2019 and is in addition to the established route between London and Delhi. With the collapse of Jet Airways most of the major airlines have been looking to take advantage of new potential customers by increasing flights or adding routes.
The daily service will not only enhance a vital link between India’s commercial centre and the UK’s capital, but it also provides connections via Heathrow between India and the US. The new flights will depart and arrive Heathrow in the morning to align with connecting flows to and from US.
The Mumbai flights will be operated on Virgin Atlantic’s Boeing 787-9 aircraft. You can read my reviews of Virgin’s B787 in Upper Class here.
Juha Jarvinen, Executive Vice President, Commercial, at Virgin Atlantic, commented;
“2019 marks a significant period of growth for Virgin Atlantic and I’m delighted that we’re continuing to expand our route network once more, by returning to Mumbai. Until recently we’ve been able to serve this important market through our partnership with Jet Airways, however, since Jet Airways has sadly suspended its operation, we now have an opportunity to provide alternative options for our customers and meet this demand.”
“Combined with our long-standing route to Delhi, we’re able to provide travellers even more opportunity to experience our award winning service between the UK and India. Not only are we providing an increased offering to the thriving Indian market, but together with our partners at Delta, we can offer unrivalled choice and more seamless connections to the USA via Heathrow Airport.”
The new Mumbai flights marks Virgin Atlantic’s 27th daily service from London Heathrow and its third new route announcement this year. Flights to Tel Aviv, Israel are due to commence in September 2019, with flights to São Paulo, Brazil starting in 2020, marking the airline’s first venture into South America.

Are you still stepping over someone to go to the loo then? Shame not a 1 2 1 config.
Yes but they are slightly staggered as on AA transcontinental so it’s a bit easier than a straight 2-2
