BA has launched their sale today with some great bargains! You need to book by 30 September 2020.
If you fancy getting away, now is actually a great time to book and not just due to the sale prices. There are a number of reassurances and offers from BA that make me inclined to book now rather than wait. In fact, I am just about to rebook a trip to San Francisco & Napa with these great prices (and no, we don’t get any commission from BA currently!).
- The Book with Confidence guarantee which means if you change your mind you can change the dates or cancel and get a voucher. Just book before 30 September 2020 for travel up to 30 August 2021, then you can amend your booking for free (just pay the difference in price) or cancel it and get a voucher for travel up until 30 April 2022
- If you book a BA holiday the final balance is only due 3 weeks before now and deposits start from £75pp.
- If the worst happens and the holiday is somewhere we aren’t allowed to travel, if you booked a holiday you can get a voucher for your £150/300 deposit or move the dates
- Free lounge access is available in economy for holidays bookings (see below for criteria)
- Don’t forget if you are booking travel for 2020 and book by 31 August you will get double Avios

Club Europe flights
Some people view that CE is not worth the extra money at the moment. However, you get almost the normal service apart from the meal which only contains a sandwich instead of the main course. At the moment the lounge experience is actually much better than before with table service. How long this continues we don’t know. For me, it is also about the extra space not being crammed next to someone, so I am happy to pay the extra at the moment and at these prices it is a bargain anyway!

Sounds great, but god knows when or if we’ll be able to travel to about 90% of these places, even by the middle of next year.
Very true but the way I view it is that if you do as I suggest and do a holiday booking rather than just flight it will cost you £150pp for the deposit. If it doesn’t come off you can change it or take a voucher. It’s a low risk and the chances are in a years time the majority of places will be open again.
