Virgin Atlantic relaunches Tobago flights
Virgin Atlantic is continuing to expand its portfolio of flights to the Caribbean as it relaunches its twice weekly services to Tobago, with fares from as little as £389 per person.
From 29th January, the route will resume from London Heathrow to the island of Tobago, departing every Tuesday and Saturday. Airbus The flight will be on their A330-300. You can read my review of their Upper Class product on the A330 here.
The flight will route via Barbados both ways. Reward flights should cost 115,000 return in Upper Class. I can;t yet see availability for Tobago but if it’s the same as Barbados there is very little available. Your best bet may be when they release seats 330 days in advance.
Tobago is famous for its beautiful climate, sandy beaches,
and the world’s oldest protected rainforest. The island is also known for the famous Nylon Pool, a swimming pool in the middle of the ocean. The in-sea shallow white ground coral pool is located off Pigeon Point and accessible by boat.

Virgin Atlantic adds new option to The Clubhouse lounges for Dry January
If you are trying to do Dry January (or don’t drink anyway) then drinks in airport lounges can often be rather dull, although this is steadily improving. Virgin Atlantic has partnered with Salcombe Distilling Company to offer New London Light at their Clubhouses. New London Light is a collection of contemporary non-alcoholic spirits and aperitifs, and will be the exclusive non-alcoholic spirit choice in Virgin’s Clubhouses.
Travellers visiting London Heathrow, New York JFK, San Francisco, Boston and Washington will now be able to choose from a selection of expertly crafted, non-alcoholic drinks – including the new cocktail ‘Outbound’, combining New London Light ‘First Light’ and cold brew espresso with coconut milk and fresh ginger, topped off with soda and orange zest.If you are looking for something a bit more punchy, they can be made as an alcoholic version too with Salcombe Gin.
The range of New London Light includes the gin-inspired ‘First Light’, as well as ‘Midnight Sun with wild coastal berries, fresh pine and kelp”, and ‘Aegean Sky’ combining bitter citrus and olive flavours.
“We’re delighted to be offering our Clubhouse customers a choice of quality non-alcoholic cocktail
and aperitif options from New London Light by Salcombe Distilling Co. At Virgin Atlantic we’re
always looking for new ways to deliver for our customers, and our exclusive global partnership will
offer those seeking an alcohol-free beverage a whole new range of delicious options to match the
premium experience available in our award-winning Clubhouses,” commented Corneel Koster,
Chief Customer and Operating Officer, Virgin Atlantic.
