Sofitel & MGallery up to 25% off
I wrote earlier in the week about the latest Accor sale, which was for Europe and Northern Africa. There is now a separate sale for Sofitel and MGallery, which covers most of the world.
Accor Live Limitless (ALL) members get 25% off on stays of two nights or longer, and Accor Plus members get an additional 10% off for stays in Asia-Pacific from 17 November to 3 March 2024. You need to book by 16 November 16, and the maximum stay is ten days.
Countries included are: Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Bali, Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vietnam.
No pre-payment is needed, and the cancellation and change policy is the hotel’s usual one, so it may vary.
If you are looking to stay at Sofitel Heathrow, you can now book it for around £150 a night even in the next few weeks, even without the discount.
You can find the offer details on Accor’s website here, but the discount prices should show up when you book.
Don’t forget you can combine it with 10% cashback on Topcashback to get the maximum discount.

Virgin Atlantic cancels Austin route
Virgin Atlantic has cancelled its Austin route with effect from 8 January 2024 and will now reduce services to 3 weekly from 4 effective from today until the service finishes. The route first went live in May 2022.
A Virgin spokesperson cited “persistent softening in corporate demand, specifically the tech sector.” as the reason behind the change. The extra capacity will be spread over the Miami, Barbados and Dubai routes, so if you are looking for reward seats, it is worth looking again.
BA still flies to Austin but they are also reducing their frequency.
British Airways route changes
BA also announced further route changes this week.
The London Gatwick – New York JFK will be suspended between 8 January and 9 February. As previously mentioned, Austin will reduce from 7 weekly to 6 weekly during 19-29 November and five times weekly 29 January to 11 February. An A350-1000XWB will be operating the route, which has new Club Suites.
The Boston route will reduce the frequency of service too from 21 weekly to 17 weekly with immediate effect. They will also remove the A380 from service on the BA202/203. Los Angeles sees various aircraft changes, so check your seats if you are travelling over the winter.
British Airways has also taken the following routes off sale for summer 2024, so it looks like they may be suspended for the summer.

- Bastia,
- Nuremberg
Southampton to
