Emirates launches Business Class Loungewear
From 1 February onwards, Emirates is launching a complimentary inflight loungewear set for Business Class customers, including a relaxed cowl neck top, drawstring pants, comfortable slippers, and a matching eye mask. The loungewear is designed to be perfect for sleeping in but also suitable to wear as loungewear. According to Emirates, you can wear them “for a social drink at the A380 onboard lounge or as a casual outfit that takes you from aircraft to arrivals in style.” Personally I am not sure I would be wearing what look like pyjamas through arrivals any time soon. I do think they look comfortable though. Personally I am not sure I’d want the cowl neck particularly when trying to sleep.
Emirates’ Business Class Loungewear is composed of a super soft modal material, designed to be lightweight and breathable. The suits come in two sizes and are presented in a complementary drawstring pouch. Each set contains an adjustable loungewear top and pants, a pair of warm slippers and an eye mask.
Emirates Business Class customers will be offered the loungewear set upon boarding so they can change at their leisure. On flights of 9 hours or more, Business Class customers will receive the complete set with loungewear top and pants, slippers and eye mask, while on flights that have a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes or more, customers will receive complimentary slippers and eye mask sets.
What do you think of Emirates’ new loungewear? Would you wear them in the airport? Let us know in the comments below.

While those travelling in Club World (business class) can order spicy Kung Pao prawn, a dish previously served in the Chinese Imperial Palace.
First, and Club World customers can also choose a white chocolate tangerine mousse, a fruit symbolising gold in Chinese culture.
Customers flying in World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy) can try the traditional Huaiyang dish, Lion’s Head meatballs, made of steamed pork in oyster sauce. The dish is named for its round shape, resembling the head of a lion, and signifies unity amongst the family.
During the festival week, customers travelling through London Heathrow Terminal 5 will be gifted red envelopes with chocolate coins, with lion dancers performing on the concourse.
The airlines’ customer service teams will spread holiday cheer for London-bound travellers by surprising customers with upgrades to Club World (business class) and lounge access. The team will select a handful of customers who were born in the Year of Dragon.
