Etihad Releases Special Winter Deals
Etihad has announced the release of some special fares in their ‘Explore the World with Cooler Winter Deals’ promotion. Passengers flying from London Heathrow, Manchester, and Dublin have some fantastic fares available to them when booked between now and 4th October for travel between 1st October 2024 and 22nd March 2025. Destinations included in the deal are Abu Dhabi, Delhi, Manila, and Osaka.
Anything under £2000 for return business class flights to the UAE direct from London is a great price. I have searched and a lot of these fares are wide open and available.

Google Flights Price Guarantee (USA passengers only, for now)
In an interesting concept, Google Flights are backing themselves as being the most affordable way to book flights. So much so, that they have a new price guarantee for selected itineraries. They state that for some flight prices, their algorithms are so confident that their price is the lowest available before the flight departs that they will monitor the price, and right up until the point the first flight in the itinerary departs they will refund you the difference.
Now the catch is that this is only currently for flights booked and departing from the United States, and is also only available for flights that Google are confident the price won’t drop. They are marked with a colourful price badge.
This is one for all passengers to keep an eye on as they may bring it to the UK in the future and it is a bold statement for Google Flights to make on their certainty of offering the most affordable flights available.
Delta One Business Class Lounge at LAX
Delta One are due to open a new Business Class Lounge at LAX on 10th October 2024. This will be their second lounge, the first was opened in JFK in June 2024. There are also plans for two further lounges to open in Boston and Seattle.
The new lounge will be located in Terminal 3, directly accessible from the Delta One check-in area. It will be much smaller than its New York counterpart which seats around 500 people, the Los Angeles Lounge will only have the capacity for around 140 people, however, the pool of passengers eligible for access is much smaller there.
The Delta One Lounges are available for Delta One ticketed passengers, Delta 360 Members with a First Class Ticket, and passengers flying with any Delta partners in Business or First Class including Air France and Virgin. Delta Sky Club membership and qualifying credit cards can’t be used to access these specific lounges.
The new lounge will be at an elevated position with a similar view over the Hollywood Hills as the LAX Sky Club already does. It will feature an a la carte restaurant, tended bar, and wellness centre.
