Double Bonus When You Sign Up for a British Airways American Express Card
British Airways and American Express have launched a double signup bonus when applying for a credit card before 25th February 2025. The bonus applies to the two British Airways Amex personal cards and the Accelerating Business Card.
You will only be eligible for this bonus when applying via ba.com, avios.com, or British Airways Executive Club emails.
The best offer is for the Premium Plus card, where you can earn 60,000 Avios after spending £6,000 in the first 3 months instead of the usual 30,000.
British Airways Premium Plus American Express Credit Card: The Best Bonus
Fee: £300
Bonus: 60,000 Avios (double the usual 30,000 Avios) when you spend £6,000 in the first three months.
Earning Rate: 1.5 Avios per £1 spent. Collect 3 Avios for every £1 spent on British Airways flights and holidays.
Interest: The representative APR is 138.5% variable (including the annual fee), and the APR on purchases is 30.4% variable.
Rewards: Get a Companion Voucher when you spend £15,000 each membership year.
This is a great time to apply if you’re considering a new credit card. While the Premium Plus Card offers the best value, it’s worth applying for any of these cards during the offer period.
If you’re applying for the Premium Plus Card, keep in mind that you will need to spend £6,000 in 3 months to be eligible for the bonus, as opposed to £2,000 with the free version.
British Airways American Express Credit Card

British Airways American Express Accelerating Business Card

Bonus: 45,000 Avios (up from 30,000 Avios) when you spend £5,000 in the first 3 months.
Earning Rate: 1.5 Avios per £1 spent. Receive an extra 10,000 Avios for every £20,000 spent, up to 3 times a year. Earn 2 On Business Points for every eligible £1 spent on qualified British Airways flights purchased with your Card.
Interest: The representative APR is 107.2% variable (including the annual fee), and the APR on purchases is 27.9% variable.
While the business bonus is not double, it’s still an excellent bonus of an additional 15,000 Avios.
The best way to apply is to go to the ‘Avios Credit Cards’ section when logged in to the British Airways Shopping Portal.
When logged into your Executive Club, go to Discover > Executive Club and then either the personal or business credit cards tab.
Up to 100% Bonus and Triple Limit When You Buy Hilton Points
Hilton has just launched an increased ‘Buy Points’ limit until 14th March 2025. Usually, the yearly limit is 80,000 points per calendar year. This limit has been tripled to 240,000 points. With the bonus offer, you could end up with 480,000 points!
This offer is part of the 100% points bonus campaign, which targets purchases of 5,000 or more points. This promotion reduces the price of 1,000 points to £8.25.
The promotion is targeted, so you may receive a different bonus or none at all.
Buying points can be fantastic if you use them strategically at high-value Hilton properties, where cash rates are higher than the cost of a points redemption. However, it’s only worth buying Hilton points if you have a good-value redemption and/or purchase points during an offer.
Example: Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa
*One-Bedroom Beach Pool Villa on 28th February 2025 is priced at 110,000 points or £1,334. If you purchase the Hilton points required, you could get 110,000 points for £907.72, saving you £426.28 off the cash price.
*Prices are live and subject to change
Once you’ve purchased your points, they will be credited to your account within 48 hours.

Vueling Announces Two New Routes from London Heathrow
Vueling is launching two new daily routes from London Heathrow to Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela starting 30th March 2025.
The IAG-owned low-cost carrier already operates 26 weekly flights from Gatwick to these destinations.
Vueling is a great option because it offers Avios as reward currency. I’ve also found it to be very reliable on past flights. The number of Avios you earn depends on your ticket type.
Make sure you read our article about lounge access with lounge passes and lounge access with credit cards and bank accounts.
Both cities have plenty to explore and are perfect for a city break. In Bilbao, you can visit the famous Guggenheim Museum, enjoy incredible food at one of the many pintxos bars, and explore the Basque coastline.
Santiago de Compostela is one of Spain’s most historically significant and beautiful cities, with a stunning cathedral, and some of the best Galician seafood.
Flight prices vary by date, but the cheapest available fare is £27.21 to Bilbao on 17th April. Keep in mind that seat selection, luggage, and cancellation flexibility are at an additional cost.
Currently, flight options to Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela from the UK are limited. EasyJet serves year-round flights from Manchester and seasonal flights from Bristol, while Vueling flies direct from Gatwick.
To reach Santiago de Compostela, you would have had to fly with Ryanair from Stansted or Vueling from Gatwick.
Tickets for both new Heathrow routes are already on sale at vueling.com.

Does the introductory offer for the Amex BA Premium Plus card give any hint about the earning of tier points? That was trailed in the announcements about the tier point changes, but we’re still lacking any details as far as I’m aware.
No nothing unfortunately. I imagine we won’t hear anything about that until much closer to the transition date of 1st April.
