With the news last week that British Airways will be reinstating its London to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok routes after a four-year hiatus, we’ve taken a look at some of the best reward seat availability showing on the Reward Flight Finder Search Calendar right now for the coming year.
Spending Avios can sometimes be tricky. We now regularly bring you a look every fortnight at what routes have the best Avios availability, thanks to Reward Flight Finder.
If there is a particular focus you would like in an article for Avios, let us know in the comments below.

London – Algiers, Algeria
Highlighted as an up and coming holiday hotspot, you’ll find a solid availability of Economy and Business Class reward seats across the year, into 2025. It’s a little patchier in July and August but there’s still plenty to go at.
London – Bangkok
London – Bordeaux, France
London – Dubai
London – Georgetown, Cayman Islands
London – Hong Kong
London – Johannesburg
If you are struggling to find available seats to Cape Town, Johannesburg is a good alternative with multiple flights a day between the two cities.
London – Kingston, Jamaica
London – Kuala Lumpur
Even though it’s only just been announced as a reinstatement for BA’s winter roster, there’s still some solid availability to get your hands on. The last couple of weeks in November have quite a few days with 2 to 4 Business Class seats. January 2025 has a few dates with 2 Business Class seats to book, and some dates in February 2025 even have 4 Business Class seats.
From Kuala Lumpur, there are plenty of flights a day to the island of Langkawi, one of my favourite destinations. It has a large range of luxury beach hotels. Our reviews are here to give you some inspiration.
London – Rome
London – Tenerife
There’s an abundance of Economy and Business Class availability during Autumn and Winter 2024 right now. Most dates have 6 seats in each cabin class.

Hi,
I know BA said the LGW – BKK route was a winter one but have they announced when it will cease or do you think they will extend it depending on demand?
There’s nothing specific mentioned but since it starts right at the start of the winter season and I can see flights in February, I’d assume it will finish at the end of winter timetables at the end of March. It’s always a possibility they will extend it but I’d not expect a decision until late summer/early autumn.
