Today we received official confirmation from BA that their first A350 will touch down at Heathrow on 26 July after its delivery from Airbus. TLFL has been invited to attend which we are extremely excited about. We will be doing some live streaming videos and lots of photos of course! More details to come nearer the time.

British Airways sale
BA yesterday launched their latest sale which has some great prices to celebrate their centenary year. The centenary fares are available for booking until midnight on July 16. The special BA sale page is here.
Andrew Brem, British Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, said “In our centenary year, we want to say thank you to our customers. We’re offering a range of fares to suit all budgets – customers can choose to hop to Europe, head East or catch some winter sun – these are just some of the many destinations on offer.”
I will look at the Club fares below but it’s worth remembering you can also use Avios as part payment as illustrated by the offers below. Although we don’t concentrate on economy fares here, there are some real bargains for cash prices when you use some Avios as well. With part cash/part Avios you can still upgrade afterwards with Avios as well!
New York (World Traveller) | £182 + 17,000 Avios |
New York (Club World) | £929 + 80,000 Avios |
San Diego (World Traveller) | £189 + 34,600 Avios |
Singapore (World Traveller) | £179 + 42,900 Avios |
Beijing (World Traveller) | £139 + 48,750 Avios |
Antigua (World Traveller) | £160 + 48,750 Avios |
BA Holidays
Booking flights with a car or hotel can often be cheaper than a flight alone or have additional savings over booking them separately. It also offers the opportunity to just pay a deposit until nearer the time as well as collecting an additional 1 Avios per £1 spent on top of the usual flight and car hire Avios. Some of the prices below are only marginally more than the cost of the flight!

Club Europe Flight only
There are some very cheap routes for Club Europe for a short break perhaps combined with some tier points. Some like Amsterdam are the cheapest prices you will generally see. Destinations in bold get 160 tier points return versus 80 for the rest. Though you may wonder if all the cheaper prices are adding up to some very busy Club cabins where service starts to slip.
