Be first for TLFL offers and weekly emails coming soon
If you are interested in TLFL offers and are on the lookout for something in particular, you may want to sign up to our TLFL offers page on Facebook. This only has offers from TLFL without any of the news/reviews and we normally post the offers within in a few minutes of publication rather than every morning by email. You can follow us here.
We will also be adding a weekly email option in the coming weeks. We know that most readers like to read us every morning, but we thought we would add another option. However, if you like the offers we would advise sticking with daily as deals often go within 24 hours or sooner. If you are currently daily you will need to sign up for the weekly emails when it launches and then unsubscribe from the daily ones. We will let you know when it’s live.
Earn Avios with a Natwest Bank account
I only discovered fairly recently that I had a bank account that earns me Avios. Natwest Rewards accounts cots from £2 a month and work like many bank accounts where you earn cashback for certain direct debits. You can earn:
- £4 a month back in Rewards on 2 or more Direct Debits – they need to be at least £2 each
- £1 a month back in Rewards when you login to the mobile app
- At least 1% back in Rewards on spend with partner retailers
This is for the basic accounts but you can earn more with a Black account.
You can take the money as straight cash or exchange the cash for a variety of vouchers. If you choose to exchange them for Avios you get:
- £10 Rewards for 1170 Avios with the British Airways Executive Club
- £20 Rewards for 2350 Avios with the British Airways Executive Club
- £50 Rewards for 5870 Avios with the British Airways Executive Club
You can exchange for a maximum of 8 e-codes in one order, as long as you have enough Rewards and there is available stock. Once exchanged you get a unique Avios voucher code to your registered email address which expires 6 months from date of issue.
Whilst the earning rate is low, you may as well sign up if you already have a Natwest Account as you will earn more back than it costs to join without really doing anything! To open a new account you need to be 18+ and a UK resident. To hold this account, you need to pay in £1,250 to an eligible NatWest account every month.
You can find more information about Natwest Rewards here.
Marriott changes – book your points stay now to avoid higher rates
Every year Marriott Bonvoy plays around with its hotel categories, which is what the number of points you need to redeem is based on. The latest changes will take place on the 4 March. If you are thinking of booking some reward nights it’s well worth checking the list to see whether your hotel is about to go up or down. If it is going up, book now, if it’s going down then you may wish to wait – although of course there is no guarantee there will still be availability. If you have already booked you will have to cancel and rebook after 4 March if it has gone down and it is still available.
There are few that we have stayed in that are going up in the UK by one category:
- Bankside London
- Marriott County Hall London
- Marriott Park Lane London
- St Ermins London (review coming soon)
- The Langley, Iver (a bargain for a spa break)
- Threadneedles London (review coming soon)
You can look up your hotel category changes on this Marriott page.
