If you are looking to splash out on a holiday or a special occasion in the UK, Fairmont Hotels has launched the Grandest of Experiences – a collection of luxurious experiences across all four of their UK and Ireland properties which are some of the most luxurious and iconic properties in the UK and Ireland. Several are firmly on my bucket list such as the new Fairmont Windsor Park and of course the ultimate London hotel, The Savoy.

The Savoy, A Fairmont Managed Hotel
It doesn’t get more luxurious or iconic than a staycation at The Savoy. Ever since I watched the TV series about the hotel I have wanted to stay there. I have been to the legendary American Bar which resulted in my most expensive bar bill ever thanks to Paul and my taste for expensive champagne! Which is leads me on to….

Fairmont Windsor Park
I have been eagerly awaiting the opening Fairmont Windsor Park and it is now taking bookings from mid-August. The new hotel looks a stunning place for a weekend getaway and is close to London. There are a variety of restaurants and bars including fine dining restaurant 1215 which is set on the south lawn overlooking a private terrace and manicured gardens.
The spa looks wonderful and the hotel is accentuating their expertise in relaxation and rejuvenation with the launch of The Grandest Wellness Experience. This special package includes a deep cleansing hammam, AquaVibe dry floatation meditation, and a deep relief muscle massage & wrap. The experience is perfect for couples as the package also includes a two-hour Ayurvedic couples’ experience in the exclusive Salutaris Suite. The spa has a traditional Hammam, indoor and outdoor pools, thermal suite encompassing a sauna, steam room, cryotherapy, experience shower, heated tepidarium bench and Japanese foot bath as well as both light and deep relax and a salt room with views over the courtyard vitality pool and fire pit.

Carton House, Ireland A Fairmont Managed Hotel
Opening this year, after an extensive refurbishment, Carton House, now a Fairmont managed hotel, is one of Ireland’s finest stately homes. This year the property has launched the Grandest of Culinary Experiences, an exploration of locally sourced Irish produce and delicacies. Guests will be picked up by a private executive chauffeur from Dublin International Airport and whisked to Carton House for three nights of luxury in the Presential Suite, within the property’s 18th century Palladian-style mansion. Punctuated by local treats and plenty of champagne, guests will spend three days exploring the surrounding forests on a foraging walk with the Executive Chef, enjoying a private wine and cheese tasting with a local supplier and the in-house sommelier, as well as an Irish whiskey tasting experience in the beautiful Whiskey Library.
The package also includes in-suite dining each morning for breakfast, an eight-course tasting menu, and the opportunity to dine with the Head Chef one evening in the property’s dazzling restaurant, Kathleen’s Kitchen.
BOOK: The experience includes 3 night’s luxurious accommodation in the Presidential Suite of The House, an 18th century Palladian-style mansion, and all the epicurean experiences. The Grandest of Culinary Experiences is €3,250 per person
