Mr & Mrs Smith joins IHG Rewards
From early next year, IHG® Rewards Club members will be able to earn and redeem points at over 500 handpicked Mr & Mrs Smith hotels when booking with IHG direct (including IHG.com and IHG mobile app).
This exclusive partnership will more than double the number of luxury and boutique hotels which you can choose from; IHG’s already have Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, Regent® Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants and Hotel Indigo® at the high end of their hotel brands.
IHG Rewards Club members will be able to earn and redeem points across hundreds of luxury and boutique hotels around the world, including some of Smith’s most seductive stays, such as Jasper Conran’s self-styled riad hideaway L’Hôtel Marrakech, 18th-century organic Tuscan estate Borgo Pignano, high-in-the-Himalayas retreat The Kumaon and the charming Old Rectory on South Africa’s famed Garden Route. IHG’s high tier members can expect free room upgrades whenever available and a free gift, called a Smith Extra, on arrival at each Mr & Mrs Smith hotel. This includes InterContinental Ambassadors and Kimpton Inner Circle members. The free Smith Extras will include things such as a bottle of champagne, picnic hamper or 30-minute massage on arrival at every Mr & Mrs Smith hotel, as well as automatic room upgrades whenever available.
Claire Bennett, Chief Marketing Officer, IHG, commented: “IHG’s exclusive partnership with Mr & Mrs Smith illustrates the truly transformative travel we bring to our IHG Rewards Club members. New luxury Hilton property opens in London – available for booking on points
London is somewhat lacking in luxury properties for Hilton. The two most luxurious properties are probably my favourite the Hilton Bankside and the Conrad London St James. A new hotel has opened in Mayfair which definitely sets the bar much higher. The Biltmore Mayfair is in a soft opening phase with rooms and the hotel’s signature restaurant – The Betterment and bar, The Pine, now open. The restaurant was created by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton and with Paul Walsh of Atherton’s City Social restaurant as head chef. The gym will not be operational until the end of September.
The hotel has undergone a multimillion-pound redevelopment following its closure in early July 2018. Designed by Goddard Littlefair, the hotel will offer 257 luxurious guest rooms, many with views over Grosvenor Square, as well as 51 suites. It is part of Hilton’s revived luxury brand LXR Hotels & resorts. Prices start from around £370 and the cheapest I have found it on points so far is 95,000 per night which is pretty eye-watering for a basic room!
Hopefully, Paul or I will manage to pop in for a visit soon to do a review of the new hotel. In the meantime, you can find availability and more information here.
