Qatar Airways joins Amex Membership Rewards
Qatar Airways Privilege Club has confirmed that it has now become the newest Membership Rewards points transfer partner for eligible American Express Cardmembers in the United Kingdom and you can now transfer Membership Rewards points to Avios with Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
If you collect Avios, this doesn’t really make much difference as you can already transfer to BA Executive Club at the same rate, although it will save transferring over to Qatar if you use the Privilege Club.
In the United Kingdom, American Express Cardmembers can convert one Membership Rewards point to one Avios, with a minimum requirement of 500 Membership Rewards points for the transfer. To transfer, you need to make sure you are a member of Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
The big benefit is that the conversion is processed instantly, and the transferred Avios are usually immediately reflected in the member’s Privilege Club account balance. With BA it is not instant so if you need Avios in a hurry then you would be better transferring to Qatar first from Amex and then you can instantly transfer it to BA if you have linked your accounts beforehand.
World of Hyatt interesting Peloton partnership
World of Hyattis teaming up with Peloton to give members the opportunity to earn World of Hyatt points when they use Peloton equipment at Hyatt properties in countries where Peloton currently operates.
I really love this idea and it would be great to see more things like this where you can earn loyalty points for hotels by doing something positive for your health!
The collaboration is set to outfit 800+ Hyatt properties with Peloton equipment and provide access to Peloton classes on guestroom TVs at nearly 400 properties for guest and member enjoyment this year. We are waiting for World of Hyatt to provide more information to members on how they can earn under this collaboration. It would be very interesting if you could earn points just be watching a class on the TV. I also like that they will be providing access to classes in the rooms.
“Hyatt takes pride in setting a new standard of wellbeing for travel with new collaborations, products and experiences across our global portfolio that invite guests to lean into the transformative power of travel,” said TJ Abrams, Vice President of Wellbeing, Hyatt. “Dedicated to caring for our guests and members so they can be their best, Hyatt is coming together with Peloton as the first hospitality brand with plans to reward its members for workouts at participating hotels everywhere Peloton operates.”
Peloton Bikes will be deployed at each Hyatt hotel in markets where Peloton already operates – including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Germany, Austria and Australia. Select Hyatt luxury and lifestyle hotels in U.S. markets will also offer the Peloton Row. In the future, the collaboration may bring the Peloton experience to Hyatt hotels in other markets.
Beyond access to equipment in-hotel or resort gyms, the Hyatt and Peloton collaboration will offer other benefits to guests, Peloton Members, World of Hyatt members, customers and colleagues.
- Hyatt and Peloton will kick off the integration to give World of Hyatt members the ability to earn points for qualifying Peloton Bike or Peloton Row workouts completed at a participating Hyatt hotel. World of Hyatt members can also receive an extended 60-day free App trial (new Peloton Members only), and special offers on Peloton equipment and private World of Hyatt member events.
- Guests at nearly 400 participating hotels will be able to enjoy a curated set of non-equipment-based Peloton classes, from stretch routines to bodyweight workouts, on in-room TVs.
- Participating Hyatt hotels will also have access to a unique set of non-equipment-based Peloton classes that will be available to corporate meeting and conference attendees, enabling them to re-energize while they work.
You can see which hotels already have Pelotons here.
What do you think about earning loyalty points for exercising at a hotel? Would it encourage you to exercise more?
IHG sale with 34% off

To get the full 34% off you need to be an IHG Rewards One member and book on the app. The downside is that the IHG App promotion for members requires a Non-Refundable deposit for the complete stay at the time of booking. Cancellation and no-show would result in forfeiting the whole deposit paid.

- Extra 3% for members
- 10% extra for members by booking in the app
You also need to book a minimum 3 days in advance. IHG One Rewards members also receive 25% to 30% discount on dining as part of IHG Dining Deals at participating outlets when showing proof of their membership via the IHG App.
It is also worth noting that you can earn 500 points for downloading the app too.

The AmEx Qatar transfer option is welcome but instant it isn’t…
I moved 100,000 MR points 5 days ago and while they left AmEx the next day, they still haven’t credited to my Qatar account.
Expect some glitches before they get this right.
That’s annoying to hear. Hopefully they sort it.
