Norse Atlantic to launch Las Vegas
I don’t normally cover much about Norse, but they do have a premium economy product, which is fairly decent. Hopefully, adding Las Vegas may help introduce more competition and drive down prices, which have been extremely high since Covid.
Norse Atlantic Airways has announced a brand-new route connecting London Gatwick to Las Vegas. The route will begin operations on 12 September 2024 with three direct weekly flights.
Flights are now bookable on www.flynorse.com return flights starting from £399 in Economy and £1029 in Premium including all taxes and fees. Currently, the cheapest Premium Economy flights to Vegas with other airlines start from £1284 in the next 6 months.
Norse Atlantic exclusively operates Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, with the Norse Premium cabin offering an industry-leading 43” seat pitch and 12” recline. BA offers 39″ seat pitch in Premium economy.
Norse Atlantic offers two cabin choices: Economy and Norse Premium. Passengers can choose from a simple range of fares, Light, Classic and Flextra. Flextra fares include the maximum baggage allowance, two meal services and increased ticket flexibility.

Singapore Airlines partners with celebrity chef Monica Galetti and improves Premium economy offerings
Singapore Airlines has announced that Monica Galetti will work with the airline to design menus for business class and first-class passengers on flights from the UK, including Heathrow, Manchester and Gatwick (which will launch in June).
There will be a number of dishes from Monica’s own restaurant, Mere on the new menus.
Singapore Airlines has also announced an upgrade to its Premium economy service with new amenity kits and a better dining experience. Premium Economy Class customers will now be offered a glass of Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV champagne shortly after take-off. They will also get a paper menu and meals will be served in custom-made porcelain Premium Economy Class serviceware.
SIA has developed over 200 new appetisers, main courses, and desserts as part of this expansion of the Premium Economy Class in-flight meals. Premium Economy Class meals will consist of a seasonal appetiser, main course, bread, dessert, and cheese and crackers, all served on a full-sized tray.
Upgraded bread options will also include croissants for breakfast or garlic bread rolls for lunch, dinner, and supper. New appetisers include garlic roasted prawns with smoked aioli and Patatas Bravas (Spanish fried potatoes), broccoli salad with hot smoked salmon, and seasonal variations of Japanese cold noodles with soba sauce.
Customers may choose from two premium main course options, either international or Asian cuisine, on every flight. Highlights include new dishes such as Beef Bourguignon served with bacon, mushrooms, vegetables, and potato gratin, Bak Chor Mee (minced pork noodles), and Thai-style Crab Curry served with a combination of jasmine rice and brown rice, and seasonal vegetables with egg.
There will also be an expanded Book the Cook menu, which features up to 20 dishes available on rotation, for pre-order at least 24 hours before departure. This includes choices such as Singapore Style Seafood Hor Fun and Chicken Biryani, as well as new additions like Slow Braised Lamb Ragout, Sake Teriyaki (salmon in teriyaki sauce), and plant-based dishes such as Mushroom Eggplant Meatballs.
On flights that are at least seven hours long, an all-new Out of the Woods amenity kit, designed exclusively for Premium Economy Class customers, will also be available.
