British Airways ground staff settle dispute
Unite union has today released a statement confirming that BA ground staff belonging to Unite have agreed to accept at 13% pay rise from BA. They had previously voted in favour of strike action due to the 10% pay cut they received during Covid not being returned, according to Unite.
The offer will be paid in several stages, and in addition shift pay reductions during the pandemic will be reversed from October 2022.
First and business class to Dubai from £1215
Here is another deal brought to you in partnership with the Dutch website, Luxury Flight Club. These deals are with Swiss and Lufthansa departing from the UK. In terms of business class I would go with Swiss 100% as Lufthansa’s business class seats are very dated. For first class, both are good but if you are flying First with Lufthansa I would chose to route via Frankfurt outbound. That way you can have the wonderful experience of the First Class Terminal. They will even chauffeur drive you to the aircraft. Swiss also have a First class terminal in Zurich.
You can mix and match so do one way business and one way first or vice versa. These are available via Swiss here or Lufthansa here.
There is a minimum 6 day stay. Flights are available from December 22 to June 23.

British Airways flexibility and voucher refunds extended
British Airways has a policy that allows those travelling up to 25 July more flexiblity to change their plans due to the passenger number cap at Heathrow and high demand at the start of the school holidays. According to London Air Travel on Twitter, this has now been extended.
Those travelling until 7 August on long haul can get a refund voucher, the same as for book with confidence. Short-haul passengers, including those connecting to long-haul flights, can change the date of their flight or have a voucher.

Hi michelle, some great info here as always. I see you again promoting the luxury flight club! Given all the uncertainty out there atm why should this company be a good fit for a uk based traveler?
Hi Anthony. So I’m not trying to promote Luxury Flight Club as such. It’s an arrangement where I can use the deals they find as part of a commercial agreement. This allows me to bring deals that normally take me a long time to find to TLFL readers quicker. Luxury Flight Club is a paid flight offer newsletter subscription service, they don’t sell flights. You just pay to be notified. Whereas you can see the ones I think are the best most relevant deals for free on TLFL! All the links are direct to the relevant airlines or occasionally travel agents if that’s where the deals are available. I am focusing on UK and easily accessible airports. Hope that clears that up a bit more?
