Double Avios with Qatar Airways
Qatar has a new Double Avios promotion. I always say it is worth joining the Qatar Privilege Club as well as BA even if you plan to credit everything to your BA account. Why? Well, Qatar has different partners and promotions. For example, I can link my Accor account to Qatar and earn Avios on my hotel stays. You can move Avios between Qatar and BA instantly and simply as well.
The latest promotion gives you double Avios on Qatar or BA flights booked through Qatar. To qualify, simply register and book by 18 December 2024 and take your flight by 30 June 2025. You can book on the Qatar website or app but must register before you book.
The downside is that you will have to credit the Avios/tier points to Qatar, which won’t help if you need the tier points for bA status.
You can find the offer page here (you will need to be a Privilege Club member to access the offer).
Radisson Black Friday sale live
I recently stayed at an Art’otel in London for the first time and was impressed with the brand. I also like Radisson collection hotels and find the Radisson at Oslo airport a decent stay. So now is the time to have a look at the Radisson sale if you need a hotel stay. They can offer some very reasonable rates in London for a 4* hotel compared to the other major brands.
You can get up to 35% off when you book a trip by 4 December and stay from 12 December 2024 to 31 December 2025. If you are a Radisson Rewards member you also get a generous extra 3,000 points per stay. You need to use the promo code: BLCKDEAL.
The catch is that the discount is only available on bed and breakfast bookings.
You can find the offer page here.
Fairmont Black Friday sale
Fairmont is part of Accor but has its own separate Black Friday sale. I generally find Fairmont hotels very good, although quite a few are getting a bit dated now. I have stayed at the Abu Dhabi, Barbados, Dubai the Palm and Bermuda ones among others.
The sales offers up to 30% off almost all Fairmont destinations when you book by 4 December 2024 for stays of 2 or more nights from 6 December to 30 June 2025. The catch is it requires a full non refundable deposit for the stay.
Members of ALL – Accor Live Limitless, Accor’s loyalty program get additional member discounts of up to 10% off.
There is also 20% off select items from the Fairmont Store on items such as towels, ultra-soft robes, tea collections, and more.
You can find the offer page here.
Up to 50% off luxury hotels
I have written a few times about the paid loyalty scheme Dis-loyalty, which can give very generous discounts on certain brands of luxury hotels such as SLS and Mondrian.
Their Black Friday sale runs from 19 November to 4 December. Members can book a stay at approximately 50 of Dis-loyalty’s hotels from brands including The Hoxton, SLS, Mondrian, SO/ and Mama Shelter. Stays are available from 26th November 2024 until 31st August 2025 and the even better news is that bookings are fully flexible with no need to pay until you stay.
Dis-loyalty has over 90 hotels and 175 restaurants and bars from global hotel brands, the programme currently spans 58 destinations across 26 countries and is expanding further with the introduction of new hotels including SLS Playa Mujeres; The Hoxton, Florence and Mondrian Gold Coast, Australia. The Dis-loyalty Collective will also soon welcome Our Habitas, a brand focused on wellbeing and luxury.
If you join, it costs £12/15€/£18/AED60 a month, with five core benefits: 50% off just-opened hotels, 20% off first-time stays, 10% off return stays,10% off food and drink, a barista-made coffee every day of the year. Plus, other exclusive ‘Drops’ throughout the year.
You can see a full list of participating hotels click here and for more information or to sign up, visit: https://dis-loyalty.com/

An email I got from BA yesterday was saying: ‘For a limited time, Executive Club Members will earn bonus Avios on flights with British Airways or through our shared network with Qatar Airways’. Looks like you can earn the double Avios by booking Qatar flights through BA too.
So, does this mean you could also earn double tier points by booking a BA holiday (5 day car hire or 5 day hotel stay added at time of booking) flying ex UK, and onwards from DOH, on Qatar operated flights with BA codeshare flight numbers? If this is the case, the expensive ex UK Qatar fares might not seem so bad if you’re getting the double tier points as well as double Avios.
