£50 off Hilton hotels
American Express has a new Hilton hotel offer, which is showing on my BA Premium Plus Amex card. The offer gives £50 off when you spend £200+ at participating hotels. The good news is that the spending is cumulative as long as you have completed the spending by 1 July 2024. The bad news is that it has to be checkout spend and meetings/events are excluded.
The hotels that are participating are spread across Europe in Austria, Finland, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.
You can combine the offer with the 3 for 2 luxury Hilton Impressario offer which I wrote about here.
Border Force strike suspended
The strike by Border Force staff at Heathrow, which was due to take place between 11-14 April, has been suspended to enable further negotiations with the Home Office.
The PCS union claims that new rosters could see as many as 250 staff forced out of their jobs by the end of April.
According to PCS, the Home Office has refused to withdraw its proposals or amend the new roster meaningfully until now. The strikes have not been called off as such, so if an agreement is not reached, they will still go ahead at a future date, but the union will have to give 14 days’ notice of intended action again.

Great sale there to Asia also.. maybe this will spark a Qatar sale soon…
Qatar have just started a sale which I’ll be having a look at but whether there are decent fares is another matter!
