Extra Aer Lingus Manchester flights from £1484 to Barbados – run don’t walk!
Aer Lingus has extended the flying seasons on two of its most popular transatlantic routes. Direct flights from the airline’s Manchester base have been extended from April to 31 May 2024.
Following the successful relaunch of Aer Lingus’ popular Connecticut service in March, Aer Lingus has also extended direct flights between Dublin and Hartford into the winter season, giving customers the opportunity to experience New England during the festive period. There will now be three direct flights per week between 29 October 2023 and 5 January 2024 – instead of the previous end date of 28 October 2023.
Hartford flights will then restart earlier than planned on 13 March 2024, with the airline operating a three-times weekly schedule until 30 March, when daily flights will resume until 26 October 2024.
The prices for these extra flights are excellent with direct return fares from Manchester to Barbados starting at £349 in Economy Class, and from £1,489 in Business Class, including all taxes and charges.
Those heading to Hartford can pick up direct return fares from the UK via Dublin from £440 in Economy Class, and £1,604 each way in Business Class, including all taxes and charges.

Extra Finnair Avios seats about to drop
More information has been released about the Finnair Plus program changing to Avios. This is due to happen in late January 2024. The program will become spend-based, which means you will collect loyalty currency and reach tiers based on the money spent – your flight and travel extra purchases – with Finnair. There will also be new options for collecting and using loyalty currency – and new, additional benefits.
As part of this Finnair will now release a guaranteed number of Avios seats like BA do.
