Finally, as of today, you can stay at a hotel for leisure in England!
In this post:
Hilton new London Curio opens – The Westminster London
In what used to be the DoubleTree, Westminster a new Hilton property has opened in London. The Westminster London today opens its doors, marking the latest addition to Curio Collection by Hilton.
The hotel has undergone a multi-million-pound conversion and now joins the global hospitality brand’s collection of one-of-a-kind hotels and resorts in premier destinations around the world.
Situated in one of capital’s most sought-after cultural districts, the hotel is within walking distance of many historical landmarks and just yards away from Millbank and the Thames.
There are 464 uniquely designed rooms and suites across eight categories, with all rooms featuring separate bedroom and dressing areas. Striking wall prints, floor to ceiling windows, textured furnishings and mood lighting take centre stage and amenities include 50-inch smart TVs, giant high-pressure rainfall showers and Nespresso machines.
Visitors can enjoy concept dining from STK Steakhouse from 1 June, which artfully blends a modern steakhouse and chic lounge, offering a fine dining experience in a decadent and social setting. This will be STK’s second restaurant in the capital and even features its very own bowling alley. On the ground floor, guests can find dine-in and take-away restaurant, serving fluffy steamed bao buns and Taiwanese small plates.
Nightly room rates start from £165, or Hilton Honors members can redeem Points using the Points Explorer tool. All hotels offer fully flexible booking options with free changes and cancellations, with most giving guests flexibility to change or cancel up to 24 hours before their arrival day.
I will hopefully stay next month and bring a full report on how it compares with other favourite Hilton properties in London.
This week, Hilton is also celebrating the launch of a property in Wales. Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia, the first internationally branded hotel in North Wales, is situated on an all-action site home to the world’s first inland surf lagoon and will open its doors on May 18.
