New Air France amenity kits on board
Air France has launched new amneity kits on board its long-haul flights, in the La Première, Business, or Premium cabins.
La Première (First class)
In the La Première cabin, Air France offers its guests an elegant gift box, which received a Gold Award at the 2024 TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards.
The leather box comes in the two signature colours of the cabin, Air France red and pearl grey, and features an embossed winged seahorse, the airline’s historic symbol highlighting i
Air France has teamed up with the French brand Sisley, already present in the La Première lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, to create the boxes. They contains a range of five products:
- A restorative hand cream for hydrating skin and nails,
- An eye contour balm,
- An intense Hydra-Global hydration booster moisturizing serum,
- An All Day, All Year anti-age day cream.
The case also contains a La Première pen, a wooden comb, earplugs and a night mask.
Business class
In the Business cabin, there are two models of the kit available, with motifs featuring the airline’s signature colours in different shades of navy blue and white, with a touch of red. It also features the company’s winged seahorse, which is made from over 90% recycled material.
As far as I can see from my trips in November, I got the new kit on my flights. My only complaint would be I would have liked a hand cream since they don’t have any in the toilets either.
The contents include:
- A pair of earplugs,
- A night mask made entirely from recycled material,
- A bamboo toothbrush and a tube of toothpaste organic and made in France,
- 2 beauty products from Clarins, an Air France partner: a Beauty Flash Balm and a Moisturizing and Quenching Matte Gel (travel size),
- A kraft pen and a pair of socks made from recycled material.
Premium
The Premium comfort kit features the Air France accent, the airline’s brand symbol, and is available in two colours. The kit is made from over 90% recycled materials.
Each kit contains the following items:
· Earplugs,
· A toothbrush and toothpaste,
· A pair of socks made from recycled material,
· A night mask
Convert Avios into Marriott Bonvoy points
If you are a member of Qatar Airways Privilege Club, you can now convert Avios into Marriott Bonvoy points. Previously you could only convert them the other way. If you are not a member of the Privilege Club, it is worth joining even if you plan to only credit your flights to your BA Executive Club. Qatar has different partnerships with BA, and you can move your Avios backward and forward between the two schemes instantly.
The exchange rate is pretty bad when you convert into Bonvoy points so it is nothing to get excited about. However, if you need Bonvoy points in a hurry and don’t have a Platinum Amex, it is a reasonable option compared to buying. The exchange rate is 1000 Avios = 500 Bonvoy points.
You can also earn up to 2 Avios for every USD 1 spent, and there is a special promotion when you enrol in Marriott Bonvoy by 31 December, which gives you 250 Avios.
You can find the details and the exchange form on this page.
20k Bonvoy points bonus
Yet again, Marriott Bonvoy is offering a huge 20,000 Bonvoy point bonus when you book with Marriott Homes and Villas. You need to be aware that it operates like VRBO or Airbnb in that it is merely a platform where individual owners deal with the bookings. However, if you usually use other similar platforms, then it is a good way to earn a chunk of points.
To get the bonus points, you need to book a 2+ night for stays until 31 December 2025. You need to book by 2 January 2025.
You can find the Marriott Homes & Villas page here.

You left out the key detail of min spend of $2000 on Marriott homes and villas offer
I find that quite poor for First Class. I can’t understand why these airlines can’t charge an extra couple of pounds and then provide something really good.
