New Etihad spa at Abu Dhabi
The old spa for Etihad first and business class passengers used to be fantastic pre-Covid in the old terminal with proper treatments. Now that Etihad has moved to the new terminal, they have opened a new spa. Etihad Airways and Be Relax, the world’s leading airport spa brand, have announced the opening of a new location inside the Etihad Lounge at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi at the new Terminal A. It is the first time that the two brands have partnered together.
The new spa is accessible to both Etihad Lounge guests as well as all other passengers passing by.
Turky Al Hammadi, Director of Product and Hospitality at Etihad Airways, said: “Whether departing from Abu Dhabi or connecting between two flights, we’re delighted to welcome our guests to enjoy the Be Relax Spa located at our premium Lounge. When it comes to pampering, our partners, Be Relax are experts at creating an indulgent and rejuvenating spa experience. The services are flexibly timed to allow our guests to make the most of their time at the airport and arrive at their destination feeling relaxed and refreshed.”
Etihad’s Guests flying in The Residence and First Class can enjoy a complimentary spa service when they fly, while all guests are invited to enjoy the facilities when they travel. Hopefully, they prioritise Etihad first and business travellers over other paying customers.
The spa has exclusive partnerships with two renowned brands: Valmont, a distinguished name in luxury skincare, provides exclusive products and facial treatments, while Philip Martin’s, a premium Italian brand renowned for its fragrant offerings, will have body and hair care services.
Additionally, travellers can enjoy Be Relax’s signature chair massages, full-body massages, hair care, nail care, barber services, Experience Showers by BODYFUL, and unique Sophrology (relaxation method) sessions in collaboration with Ressource Paris.
All travelers are invited to visit the Etihad Spa by Be Relax, conveniently located in Terminal A, between the C & D departure concourses, next to Gate C27 and adjacent to Etihad’s Business Lounge. The spa is open 24/7.

New oneworld route from Edinburgh
If you live in Scotland, there is now another way to redeem your Avios to the US. American Airlines is bringing back service to Scotland with a seasonal service between Edinburgh (EDI) and Philadelphia (PHL) from 24 May 2025 until October 2025.
“The customer demand for flights to and from Europe continues to be strong as travellers seek to explore cities full of culture and history. Edinburgh was a key dot on the map for American Airlines when we first launched our Scottish service back in 2015 and we are excited to return in summer 2025,” said José Freig, Vice President International Operation. “With this route, our customers in Scotland will have access to one of our fastest growing U.S. hubs in Philadelphia, from where they can connect to explore new destinations the U.S and beyond have to offer.”
Here is the schedule:
American will also add new routes to Athens, Greece (ATH); Madrid (MAD); Milan (MXP) and Rome (FCO). Launched in 2024, American will also bring back flights to Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH); Naples, Italy (NAP); and Nice, France (NCE) for the 2025 summer travel season.
