World of Hyatt 25% Bonus on Buying Points
World of Hyatt is offering a 25% bonus when you buy 5,000 points or more. Additionally, they have increased the annual purchase limit from 55,000 to 110,000 points. This offer runs until 4 January 2024, meaning you could buy another 110,000 points at the beginning of January and receive the 25% bonus again. Notably, the bonus points don’t count toward the purchase limit, so it’s possible to acquire up to 275,000 points within a two-month period. This would cost a cool $5,280, but many of our readers are likely to spend more than that on hotels over the course of a year.
Whilst it can seem like a large outlay to buy points upfront to cover a hotel, if you are thinking about making a booking in the very near future then it is worth comparing the cash price versus the points price. Premium properties such as Park Hyatt’s would likely offer the best savings.
As an example of using points over cash. Michele stayed at the St Regis (Marriott) in Venice using 97,000 points and her friend purchased her points for £600. The cost per night was €1100 so as you can see, a significant saving.
You can buy World of Hyatt points here.
