For many, the continued threat of COVID-19 has made working from home the new normal for the foreseeable future. Some people have been able to adapt their homes to this but for many it is difficult to find a distraction-free and comfortable area to work. Even though I am used to working from home, for some reason I usually find I am far more productive when I am working in an office space or hotel room without all the more interesting alternatives to work that my home offers. It is also tricky if you have both of you working from home all day. Sometimes having a change of scenery and some peace and quiet can be very beneficial to your efficiency and motivation.
Hilton hotels have come up with a solution with their, WorkSpaces by Hilton which is s a new work-from-hotel solution for both corporate customers and individuals seeking private office space to increase efficiency in their workday. I will be trying out one of these workspaces next month when lockdown ends, and I will let you know what I thought of it. The concept isavailable at participating Hilton hotels across the U.S., UK and some parts of Canada.
Even if you don’t need to work away from home, you may be tempted to do this as a way to earn the 10,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after completing your first WorkSpaces by Hilton stay at participating locations and possibly get status/a higher status. The offer is NOT targetted.
The good news is that day rooms count towards your status nights. Hilton is currently rolling over elite night credits into 2021 from this year. So that combined with the reduced Diamond threshold for 2021 of 30 nights and the double points/double nights credits before the end of the year makes earning status easier than it’s ever been.
Hilton Honors members can also enjoy exclusive benefits:
- The ability to earn Points (Point total varies based on day rate) and stay credit so you can achieve status faster – members are also eligible to receive benefits from other active promotions such as Double Rewards
- Space-Available Room upgrades (where available)
- Option to use Digital Key after check-in to allow for a contactless experience using the award-winning Hilton Honors app
- Two free bottles of water (starting at Silver tier)
- Premium WiFi for Diamond members
- Executive Lounge access for Diamond members (where available)
An example in London would be the Conrad London St. James. Flooded with natural daylight, the hotel’s new office spaces feature state-of-the-art technology, including Chromecast with a 42-inch satellite HDTV, international media hub, Bose Sound System and two desk phones. Keep your energy up with a Nespresso Machine inside the office and take advantage of the lounge area for a break. You can even head to the hotel’s private gym for a quick workout during your break. Rooms from £75 per hour or £150 per day versus the night rate of around £230.
You can book by either the usual Hilton booking process by just selecting the check-in and check-out day as the same or go to the Hilton Workspaces website.
