Qatar Airways has a new sale which ends on 17 April for travel until 10 December 2024. As you would expect, the UK prices are pretty poor, but there are some better prices from Europe. If you do book something, there are a couple of offers for extra Avios if you are new to the Privilege Club or have not linked your BA Avios account to your Privilege account yet.
The advantage of Qatar is that routing via Doha gives you 560 TP return in business class, which is almost silver (600 TP), with BA Executive Club, which would give you lounge access.
There are also a few decent Finnair flights, so I have included those and noted which ones are Finnair.

“The advantage of Qatar is that routing via Doha gives you 560 TP return in business class, which is almost silver (600 TP)“
Just to flag this isn’t true of Dubai listed above as that only earns 40TPs on the Doha to Dubai leg so only 360TPs in total. Similarly, Bucharest to Doha is only 40TPs although Doha to Sydney is 160TPs so this works out at 400TP. So basically check before you book. Also keep in mind some of those like Bucharest may get a short haul plane rather than a wide body if folks wanted the full Qatar Airways experience…
This is a really useful article. Thank you Michele!
Unfortunately the flights from Frankfurt to Sydney around July August are around €6 to €7k which are considerably higher than other airlines. I suspect that values you mention are for October/November
