Etihad Airways Sale
Etihad has launched a new sale for until 18 January and travel until 15 June 2024. There are actually some half-decent prices from the UK to the Far East. The prices are mainly similar to the ex-Europe fares, which makes a change. Etihad has good business class seats and reasonable onboard service. With the new terminal at Adu Dhabi with brand spanking new lounges, it is a good time to give them a go.
From London, they use the A380 (and one B787 flight a day), which has an onboard lounge area and a business-class studio seat.

Virgin Red has teamed up with Booking.com to give members a chance to earn 10 Virgin Points for every £1 spent when they book a Booking.com stay in the UK or Europe through Virgin Red (normally eight points per £1) between 15 January and 5 February 2024 – for stays on any date.

Emirates to launch UK credit card?
Emirates has been sending members of their Skywards program a survey of what they would like to see in a co-brand credit card with Emirates in the UK. I would not expect them to be surveying members until they were fairly certain that they wanted to do this, so hopefully, we will see an Emirates co-brand card in the UK. With BA and Virgin pretty much dominating the airline credit cards in the UK, the only real alternative is a credit card that offers American Express Membership Rewards points which can be transferred into multiple hotel and airline programs (including Emirates).
It looks like they are considering something similar to BA and Virgin with a normal and premium version of the cards, but it looked like they were expecting to charge for both of them from the questions I saw in the survey.
The standard card had pricing starting from £100 with a signup bonus, but purchases within the EU/UK were very poor at 0.75 miles per £1 spent. That would be a firm no from me unless it was free. The premium option looked far more interesting at around £220, with options for sign-up bonuses up to 20,000 miles plus 3 miles per £1 on Emirates.com, 2 miles per £1 on international spend and 1 mile per £1 on UK/EU spend. Of most interest would probably be the proposal that it came with silver status. This would give lounge access when flying with Emirates. Currently, no UK airline credit card gives you status, although the Amex BA card does have a temporary offer to earn status points.
Would you be likely to take out an Emirates credit card if it offered free lounge access? What else would you want to take one out? Let us know in the comments below.

I would be more likely to get an Emirates credit card if it gave companion vouchers similar to BA and Virgin rather than it offering lounge access.
That is a good point. If you are flying business class anyway lounge access is pointless
Does anyone know where the details of the BA Amex status offer are please? Is it new customers only?
It is for existing and new customers. Here are the details https://www.turningleftforless.com/news-you-can-now-earn-tier-points-with-british-airways-american-express-card/
