Virgin Atlantic sale starts
The Virgin Atlantic sale I referenced a few days ago has now started with the following savings:
- up to £100 in Upper Class cabin
- up to £50 in premium economy cabin
- up to £50 in economy cabin
There is also a separate sale offer with apparently up to £2900 off Upper Class on certain routes! Having looked at the fares, I can only imagine how eyewatering they must have been before!
This only applies to the following routes:

The cheapest dates are January to March 2024.
You must book between 24th August – 15th September 2023.
You can find all the details on the Virgin sale page here.
Bonus points on flights
Members will receive bonus Virgin Points for Virgin Atlantic flights booked between 24 August and 4 September 2023, for travel between 1 September 2023 and 31 May 2024. The bonuses in the higher cabins are pretty substantial, so I think this is a great opportunity to book something in the sale if you can find a price that works for you. I have always enjoyed the onboard service and I particularly liked the new A330 seats, especially the spacious Retreat Suite at the front, which you can get for around £250 extra.
For Virgin Atlantic return flights booked during this time, members will receive:
- 5,000 Virgin Points bonus in Economy (only economy Classic and Delight)
- 10,000 Virgin Points bonus in Premium
- 20,000 Virgin Points bonus in Upper Class
If you book a one-way flight, you will receive half the bonus points. Obviously, if you have status, you will get even more points as Silver and Gold tier members earn 30% and 60% more Virgin Points on flights, respectively.

You have made me want to fly with Virgin Atlantic as soon as possible. I love the sale prices and the extra points offer. I’m also curious about the status match opportunity, as I have a lot of loyalty with another airline. You have shared some helpful information and links to assist me with my booking. You’re a fantastic travel blogger!
