The White Company
Qatar Airways has launched a new 3 year partnership with The White Company to provide exclusively-designed sleepwear to First and Business Class passengers on Qatar.
The sleeper suits will be bespoke for First Class passengers and individually styled for men and women. The suits are made of 100% cotton with the men’s sleeper suit in a charcoal grey marl, and the women’s in mid-grey. Both sets come with matching slippers, with a faux fur interior sole.
First Class passengers travelling on board Qatar Airways A380 flights to London, Bangkok, Paris, Sydney, and Guangzhou will have the new sleeper suits exclusively designed for Qatar Airways. The new sleepwear will debut in Business Class in early 2017.
This is one of many areas where Qatar business class is on a par with BA First class or in fact, with these high quality products, probably better than BA First Class. Currently there are no pajamas or slippers in BA Club and in First sleeper suits are handed out but the rather flimsy slippers are only given if you specifically ask for them.
Amenity kits
Qatar Airways introduced new Nappa Dori amenity kits on board for all of its premium passengers travelling on short and medium haul flights in December. Nappa Dori is a New Delhi based artisan brand, which has created bespoke amenity kits that feature images from the destinations Qatar Airways serves.
The kits currently feature one of three iconic cityscapes, Doha, Paris, and London. The new amenity kits are available on all Business and First Class flights flying to destinations within five hours of Hamad (Doha) airport. Examples of flights under 5 hours would be the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
The amenity kit features lip balm from Italy’s Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, an environmentally friendly olive oil company, as well as socks and eyeshades. The travel accessory designs are available in four different styles and will be refreshed every few months.
Qatar Airways also recently announced an exclusive three-year partnership with BRICS and Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio to provide new amenity kits and products to Business and First Class travellers on long-haul flights.
I have to say I am sorry to see the Armani kits go. The bags were good quality so you could reuse them and although I didn’t like the Si perfume it went down well on Ebay!! I am not familiar with any of these brands but I will report back in a few weeks time when we have tested the products out.
I am however very pleased about the partnership with the White Company. It is good to see a British company with a high quality product on board Qatar. I am a big fan of their products so I look forward to acquiring a few sets of the pajamas in the future!
